VICTORIA FALLS, CHOBE & OKAVANGO DELTA

Pre-Congress -- Saturday 27th October to Thursday 1st November 2001
Post Congress -- Friday 9th November to Wednesday 14th November 2001

Day 1: On arrival at Victoria Falls Airport you will be met by an Abercrombie & Kent driver/guide and transferred to Victoria Falls Hotel.

You will check in at the hotel and some time will be spent at leisure.

Late in the afternoon you are collected from your hotel at approximately 16h15, and transferred to the jetty, which is approximately 7 km from town (10 minutes transfer) above the Victoria Falls.

The Zambezi River above the Victoria Falls is abundant in bird life, hippos, crocodiles and other game may also be seen. You will not be able to see the Falls themselves from the cruise, but from certain positions the spray of the Falls can be seen.

It is a good idea to bring along cameras for the spectacular sunsets and binoculars if you are a keen birder.

The cruise boats are the most modern professionally designed aluminum pontoons. They are run by professional river guides, who are qualified boat captains and are ably complimented by our well-trained and hospitable stewards.

These cruises are inclusive of beer, wine, soft drinks and an assortment of finger snacks.

The cruise lasts for approximately 2 hours. After the cruise you are transferred back to your hotel. 

In the evening at about 18h30 you are collected from your hotel and transferred to the Cultural Village for the African Spectacular Show.

The show lasts for 1 hour from 19h00 to 20h00 showing breathtaking Mikishi stilt and pole dancing circumcision rituals, vibrant war dancing, mysterious Nyau dancing, spirit costumes - folklore - song - legendary drumming.

After the show you will be transferred back to your hotel and the remainder of the day will be at leisure.

OVERNIGHT: VICTORIA FALLS HOTEL - (Standard Room)

Day 2: After breakfast you will check out and an Abercrombie & Kent driver/guide will transfer you to Kasane Airport for your charter flight to Savute Elephant Camp. On arrival at the camp you will check in and the remainder of the day will be spent with game activities.

All meals will be served at the camp.

OVERNIGHT: SAVUTE ELEPHANT CAMP - (Luxury Tent)
ALL MEALS & GAME ACTIVITIES

Day 3: The day will be spent with game activities and all meals will be served at the camp.

Day 4: After a morning game activity and breakfast you will check out and will be transferred to Eagle Island Camp by a charter flight. On arrival at the camp you will check in and the remainder of the day will be spent with game activities.

All meals will be served at the camp.

OVERNIGHT: EAGLE ISLAND CAMP - (Luxury Chalet)
ALL MEALS & GAME ACTIVITIES

Day 5: The day will be spent with game activities and all meals will be served at the camp.

Day 6: Time permitting; you will be taken on an early morning game activity followed by breakfast. You will then proceed with the check out formalities and will be transferred to Maun Airport by a charter flight for your scheduled flight to Johannesburg International Airport onto either Port Elizabeth to take part in the 7th World Wilderness Congress commencing 2nd November 2001 (pre-congress tour) or to your flights home (post-congress tour).

COSTING FOR THE ABOVE ITINERARY:

Based on 4 pax : US$ 2829.00 per person sharing.
Based on 6 pax : US$ 2819.00 per person sharing.
Based on 8 pax : US$ 2819.00 per person sharing.
