You can visit the Tintenpalast, meaning Palace of Ink, with its beautiful gardens, which is also the seat of Government in Namibia. Another place of interest is the Alte Feste Museum, where displays of the pre- and post-independence period, as well as indigenous cultures can be viewed. The Christuskirche (the German Lutheran Church), with its graceful spire, which provides the city with a striking landmark, is the most photographed building in Windhoek. African drums and woodcarvings from the north are displayed at street markets and on sidewalks. In the evening enjoy dinner at the hotel.

Picnic Lunch enroute In the afternoon after arrival, we visit the Sesriem Canyon. The Canyon with its rock pools is fed by the Tsauchab, the same river that feeds Sossusvlei during the rainy season. In the late afternoon return to the lodge.
SOSSUSVLEI LODGE - DINNER/BED/BREAKFAST
Day 3: Today we undertake a excursion to Sossusvlei. Many visitors to Namibia may know that no part of the desert is visually more stunning than Sossusvlei with its monumentally high dunes, the shadows of their sinuous crests continually changing as the day waxes and wanes. These gigantic star-shaped mountains of sand are a sought-after topic for artists and photographers. The warm tint of the sand, ranging from pale apricot to brick orange and deep red, contrast vividly with the dazzling white surfaces of the large deflationary clay pans at some of their bases. Return to the lodge, from where we depart to the Historic Town of Swakopmund. We continue via Walvisbay, where we visit the Walvisbay Lagoon. The Walvisbay wetland is the most important coastal wetland for birds in southern Africa, and the second most important in Africa. It comprises the lagoon, other intertidal areas and the saltworks. The number of birds fluctuates from year to year, ranging from 37 000 to 118 000. The wetland is also of international significance, as it supports 50 percent of the world population of the chestnut-banded plover, as well as significant numbers of the world populations of great flamingo (3 per cent), lesser flamingo (2 percent) and curlew sandpiper (1 percent). After a visit to Walvisbay, we continue Swakopmund where the reminder of the day can be spent at leisure.
