WHEREAS,

All 6 the days program of the 6^th WWC focused mainly fauna, rarely was any conscious effort made to focus on flora, especially trees, and that too on ancient trees, though very few in number;

The 6^th World Wilderness Congress resolves that:

• Sites that harbor ancient trees and their natural habitat be identified and these areas be protected to maintain and promote their natural characters.
