WHEREAS,
Each of the World Wilderness Congresses preceding the present have produced suites of
resolutions, some of which have had important implications for wilderness conservation and
other environmental issues, the effectiveness of the resolution process of the World
Wilderness Congress has never been published, and therefore is not available to present
and past delegates;
The 6th
World Wilderness Congress hereby resolves that:
- Request the Congress organizers to undertake an audit of the resolutions of previous
congresses, to determine what actions and results that have emerged as a direct result of
the World wilderness Congress forum;
- Request the organizers to publish the audit, and that this audit be made available to
the delegates of the 7th World Wilderness Congress.
